∴ Length of the other piece of wire = 7/8 – 1/4

LCM of 8 and 4 = 8

=
(7 – 2)/8 = 5/8

Hence, the length of the other piece of wire is 5/8 metre.

Comparing 5/6 and 2/5.

LCM of 6 and 5 = 30
